Marquis de Lafayette was a young French child of privilege that lost his parents early in life. He became a great military strategist and leader who would insist on joining the American Revolutionary war just after 1776. He was 19 years old.

He fought the British crown alongside George Washington and the newly formed Continental Army.

"Once more, into the breach my friends"

Lafayette took command and helped win decisive battles for America. He also secured military support for the American cause
